Sliink is a way of sharing stuff with your friends. You can easily share links, images, videos, files and more with all of your friends with a single click. When your friends receive something from you, they can then choose to pass it on to all of their friends if they like it, or they can chuck it and let it die with them if they hate it.

A Sliink can be a link, image, video, file, or just a note that can be sent with a single click to all of your friends.

A Pass is anytime you send a Sliink to your friends. Think of it as though your passing it along.

RSS is a way of getting updates from a website in a way that can be easily viewed from your email client or web browser.

If you don't get the verification email, make sure you check your SPAM or Junk Mail folders. If you still don't see the email, send a blank email to verify@sliink.com from the email address you registered with. This will verify you account so that you can login. You can still use your account even if you have not verified your email.

You can easily invite your friends to join Sliink. You can go here to invite them, or import your contacts .

On the side of every page is a large button that says "Share Something". If you click on this, it will take you to a form where you can submit your own Sliink.

To find your friends, you our search feature. You can search for friends by their username or email address. If you don't find your friends, make sure to invite them.

To add friends, find their profile on Sliink! using our search feature. Open up their profile and click on the button "add Name as a contact" to send a contact request. Once they approve the contact request, they will be listed under your contacts. If you cannot find your friend, invite them!

To remove someone as a contact, go to your profile page and select the "Contacts" tab. Find the contact you wish to remove from the list of contacts and click on the hlink "remove contact". Your cotnact will not be notified of the change and the change will take place immediately.

You can easily adjust your email settings by editing your profile. To edit your profile, click on the profile tab in the upper right hand corner. On your profile page, there is an "[ edit ]" link up at the top of the page.

First, you'll need to install a feed reader, if you don't have one already. Choose between a Web based feed reader, an e-mail client, or a stand-alone application. For a Web based client, try using Google Reader. Web based readers are a good option if you don't want to download any special software. An email client, such as Newsgator or Thunderbird, might be the best choice for you if you use an email program already. Consider using a stand-alone RSS aggregator such as Feed Demon for Windows, NetNewsWire for Mac OS X, or Straw for Linux. Once you have a feed reader, the next step is to sign up for the Sliink feeds that interest you. Everywhere you see the icon, is an available feed you can subscribe to.

When you create a Sliink or pass a Sliink along to someone else, you are given the choice "sliink recipients". By default, "public" is checked off, which means your contacs are allowed to share this sliink with their friends. Alternatively, if you check off "private" your contacts cannot share this Sliinks with their contacts. In other words, the Sliink cannot be passed. The next option is "Send To", which gives you the option to send to everyone in your network, or selectively choose who will receive this Sliink. Selecting "select groups or contacts" opens up a new section with all your contacts and groups. As you check off the boxes next to the recipients they will appear under "Selected". Only the people who are listed under "Selected" will receive the Sliink. If you don't have any groups listed, you can add new groups by editing your contacts.

You can group your friends by clicking on the "Contacts" link in the upper right hand corner after logging in. To group a contact, click "Edit" under their name. Type in a new relationship and then click "Add New Relationship". To remove this relationship, click the "remove" link.

You can resend any Sliink to your friends by viewing the Sliink and clicking on the button "Yes, resend it."

You can change your password by editing your profile. If you forgot your password, use the password recovery form.

To verify your account, just send an email to verify@sliink.com from the email account you registered with. If you do not yet have an account, use our signup form to create one free.

To upload a picture, upgrade to a Premium Membership. Once you have a Premium Membership, when you "Share Something" you have the option to select a "file" type. A "file" type will let you upload an image and share it with your contacts.

Sliink does not support uploading of videos. We suggest you use YouTube or Metacafe to upload videos and then link them on Sliink.

Buttons (bookmarklets) are links you add to your browser's Bookmarks Toolbar. They allow you to easily Sliink and share any website, blog, or video you are currently reading or watching to friends. You can find out how to add one by clicking here.

Sliink detects images from Flickr, Photobucket, Image Shack, and Tiny Pic. Videos from the sites YouTube, MetaCafe, Google Video, Grouper, Revver, and LiveLeak. If you upload your pictures or videos to one of these services, it will work normally. If you think we should support another service, contact us.
